FBC, the Cooperative Program, and Southern Baptist Missions
COOPERATIVE PROGRAM: The Cooperative Program is Southern Baptists' unified plan of giving through which participating churches contribute a percentage of their undesignated receipts in support of their respective state convention and the Southern Baptist Convention's ministries and missions. FBC gives 10% of our general offerings to the Cooperative Program.
100% of the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering goes to support the work of the International Mission Board. Likewise, all of the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering helps the North American Mission Board to share the gospel on our continent.
OUR ADOPTED UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUP
FBC entered into a partnership with the International Mission Board to adopt a group of people who are "unreached." (A U.P.G. is defined as an ethnic population that is less than 2% Christian.) With God's help, FBC will do our part to get the
gospel to a group of more than 55 million people who live in Central Asia in a dominantly Muslim context. There are few missionaries working among this U.P.G. The task of reaching them is challenging! FBC can help these missionaries through our prayers and offerings. If you would like more information about how you can be personally involved, contact Brian Proctor.
Bringing It Back to Our Jerusalem
FBC also cooperates with other local Southern Baptist churches in Henderson County. As part of the Carolina Baptist Association, we participate in a network of like-minded
Whether we are in partnership with sister congregations here in Hendersonville or missionaries on the other side of the globe, our purpose is the same: To make disciples as we lift up Jesus and love people.
