Our Prayer Ministry is a vital part of our organization.

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone.”  1 Timothy 2:1

Only, O Lord, in Thy dear love, Fit us for perfect rest above, 
And help us, this and every day, To live more nearly as we pray.

There is a song that says “surely the presence of the Lord is in this place.”

That is exactly what you will feel when you enter the Prayer Room of First Baptist Church. There are so many needs in our church family, community and our country.  What a privilege to carry these needs to our loving Heavenly Father.

To become an intercessor in this ministry requires only that you are a member of First Baptist Church and can devote at least one (1) hour a week to the prayer room.  While you are there you will pray for needs that have been called in, or written on a prayer request card (located on the Sunday morning bulletin insert and given to us.) Prayergrams may also be written to those needing a special word of encouragement.

We have several hours available.  If the Lord leads you to join with the ministry, we will be happy to find a time and a day that fits your schedule and go over the procedures to follow.

Every Christian should be praying daily.  Spending time with the Lord in this special place will bless you and uplift you!
