Southern Baptist Convention Support.

In addition to funding the ministries of the church, through our budget we support the ministry of the Southern Baptist Convention through the Cooperative Program and the work of our local baptist association. Ten percent (10%) of every dollar given to FBC is given to the Cooperative Program. One percent (1%) to the Carolina Baptist Association.

North American Missions

FBC is committed to Reaching the Unreached Nations right here in our own country. Presently we are involved in outreach in the US to people from Central Asia. We are also committed to the Annie Armstrong Offering with the work of the North American Mission Board.

Each year our annual support of missions

through our budget and special offerings totals nearly 22% of all contributions.

International Missions

We are very involved with missions throughout the world with church planting movements and global disciple making. In 2018, FBC is working in missions in Haiti, Russia, Honduras, Cuba, Mexico, and Central Asia. We are also committed to the Lottie Moon Offering with the work of the International Mission Board.

Local Missions and Outreach

FBC is also committed to supporting a number of local ministries who serve our community in a varienty of ways. Through our budget we give monthly support to ministries that include: Interfaith Assistance Ministry (IAM), Henderson County Rescue Mission, The Storehouse, Open Arms Pregnancy Center, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army  and Blueridge Jail Ministry.

Give with a cheerful heart

The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 9:7, "So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." Those who follow Jesus Christ have the honor and opportunity to support the ministry of the local church through "cheerful giving." Giving is as much a part of discipleship as is growing in the knowledge of God's Word, prayer and serving.  The ministry of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville is supported by the generous gifts of its members and friends. Each year a detailed annual budget is approved by a vote of the congregation. All spending is guided and controlled by the annual budget. A copy of the budget is available by contacting the Finance Office at 693-3493 ext. 111.

How to give

Giving to the church can be done in person by placing an offering in the plate during any of our Sunday Morning Services, by mail, or by giving on-line through our secure service.

  • To set up on-line giving click here and follow the instructions to set up your account.
  • Offering envelopes are provided automatically to members on a monthly basis through the mail. If you have not joined FBC but would like to receive envelopes monthly contact the Finance Office.
  • Privacy. Your giving is between you and God. Giving records are kept absolutely private. Only those in the Financial office, who record contributions have knowledge of who gives and how much.
  • By setting up an on-line giving account (whether you give on-line or not) you can monitor your giving.
  • Mid-year and end of year contribution statements are mailed to all who give.

First Baptist Church is thankful to God for the faithfulness of His people in supporting the work of the ministry. If you need to email the finance office please contact Penny Williams or Tammy Geouge. You may call them at 828-693-3493
