  • Justin Alexander

    Senior Pastor

    Justin has been at FBC Hendersonville since 2015. After serving as the Minister to Students for 6 years, he transitioned to Associate Pastor in the Fall of 2021. He became Senior Pastor in July 2024. His desire is to see people experience the life-giving love of Jesus and then be sent out into the world to share that love with others. Justin is married to Sarah and they have two sons, Titus and Haddon.


    Favorite Scripture:  Ephesians 2:4-5 - “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ- by grace you have been saved”

  • Dave Marshall

    Executive Pastor

    Dave has been at FBC since 2010. His heart is to see all Christ followers be equipped to make disciples. Dave is married to Susan and they have three grown adult children and two grandchildren.


    Favorite Scripture: John 15:13 -  "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends."

  • Penny Williams

    CFO/Administrator

    Penny has been a member of FBC since 1979 and began serving on staff in July 2012. She has a BS in Business Administration and finds joy in using her spiritual gifts in the financial and administrative aspects of ministry. Penny is married to Mark and they have four adult children – Bailey, Maranda, MacKenna and Ben.  


    Favorite Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6  “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.”

  • Chason Farris

    Associate Pastor of Worship

    Chason has been at FBC since 2015. His heart for ministry is equipping men, women, boys and girls to be lifelong worshippers. Chason is married to Shelly and they have two children: Brice and Lily.


    Favorite Scripture: Psalm 100 - “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations."

    Student Pastor

    Casey joined FBC in January of 2018. Casey married Hannah in June of 2021. He has a heart to see students mature in their walks with Christ and seeing them become disciple-making disciples.


    Favorite Scripture: Psalm 51:10-12 - "Create in me a clean heart oh God, and renew a right spirit within me, Cast me not away from your presence, not take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit."

  • Yvette Haney

    Children's Minister

    Yvette has been at FBC since 2009. She has a heart for serving children and helping them grow into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Her mission is to equip them as they begin to learn how to own and establish their faith.  Yvette is married to Jeff. They have three children Cristy, Sam, and Mallory, and six precious grandchildren.


    Favorite Scripture: Psalms 32:8 - "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go.  I will guide you."

  • Brian Proctor

    Missions Pastor

    Brian is a native of Hendersonville and a member of F.B.C. since 1974.  He and his wife, Kathy, served with the International Mission Board in East Asia for twenty years.  They have two daughters and two granddaughters.  

     

    Favorite Scripture: John 10:10 “I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.”

  • Joey Siak

    Minister to Families and First Impressions

    Joey grew up in Hendersonville, NC and is married to his high school sweetheart, Rebecca. They have three children, Benjamin (13), Zachary (10), and Reign (5). Joey earned a BA in Religious Education with a minor in Youth Ministry from Gardner-Webb University and a Master of Arts in Christian Studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

  • Eric Williamson

    Minister of Discipleship

    Eric has been at FBC since 2021. Along with teaching Sunday School, he also teaches Philosophy and Religion at Blue Ridge Community College and Fruitland Bible College. He received his PhD from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Eric is married to Michelle. They have four children: Everett, Hampton, Eleanor, and Thatcher. 

    Favorite Scripture: Psalm 147:11 “The Lord favors those who fear Him, those who wait on His steadfast love.”

  • Taylor Alexander

    Associate Minister of Modern Worship, Creative, & Media

    Taylor has been at First Baptist since June 2020. He has a Bachelor's Degree from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. Taylor married Ashley in 2015 and they have three children: Adalynn, Theodore, and Nora. 


    Favorite Scripture: Psalm 119:33-34 "Teach me, LORD, the meaning of your statutes, and I will always keep them. Help me understand your instruction, and I will obey it and follow it with all my heart."

  • Drew Gilbert

    Associate Minister to Students and Crosswalk

    Drew has been at FBC since June 2021. He has a desire to see students come to know God and be equipped to go out to their schools and communities to make disciples. Drew and MacKenna were married in 2022.


    Favorite Scripture: Psalm 34:8 “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!”

  • MacKenna Gilbert

    Associate Minister to Preschool

    MacKenna graduated from Clemson University in 2020 with a degree in Religious Studies with a minor in Youth Programs. She grew up at First Baptist, started serving when she was twelve, and has spent the last three years working with the Kids Ministry team. Drew and MacKenna were married in 2022. 


    Favorite Scripture: Psalm 139: 23-24- Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts![ And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

  • Steve Scoggins

    Pastor Emeritus

    Pastor Steve served as Senior Pastor of FBC from 1992-2001 and 2014-2024. He also pastored churches in Oklahoma, Georgia, and Alabama over the course of a 50+ year ministry. He has a BA from Samford University, and an MDIV from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Steve and his wife, Karen, have five grown children, and fifteen grandchildren. Steve's focus for his life and the church is to Lift Up Jesus and Love People.


    Favorite Scripture:  John 3:16 -  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
